Dr. Gordon Stewart is a highly accomplished mechanical engineer specializing in the field of offshore wind energy. With a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Dr. Stewart has extensive expertise in the design and analysis of floating offshore wind turbines. As an Offshore Wind Energy IGERT Fellow during his doctoral studies, Dr. Stewart made significant contributions to the field, directly influencing the addition of floating offshore wind turbine standards to the IEC design guidelines.

Dr. Stewart has a rich teaching background, serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Roger Williams University, where he mentored engineering senior design teams and taught various engineering courses, including Engineering Graphics and Design, Structural Analysis, Machine Design, and Heat Transfer. He has also conducted valuable research during his post-doctoral tenure at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, focusing on modeling techniques of small-scale experiments of floating offshore wind turbines.
