The 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ× community gathered for a service to observe Veterans Day

BRISTOL, R.I. – On Monday, Nov. 12, Roger Williams University held a service to honor our veterans, service members, and those we have lost to war.

This year's ceremony, "Service to Nation, Service to Community," included remarks from Eric B. Wallin L'97, Executive Director and General Counsel for Operation Stand Down Rhode Island, and Martin and Betsy Fortin, parents of 2nd Lieutenant Joseph Fortin '08, who was killed in action in Iraq in 2009. During the ceremony, 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ×'s ROTC Cadets and Honor Guard stood at attention and student a capella group Hawkward sang the National Anthem and America, The Beautiful, during the laying of the memorial wreath and carnations of remembrance at the American flag on campus.
