For the first time in University history, the engineering program has been named to the U.S. News & World Report 2011 “Best in Undergraduate Engineering” list.

91 ranked 51st on the list of 188 ABET-accredited engineering programs among colleges and universities whose terminal degree is bachelor’s or master’s. The rankings are based on peer reviews by deans and department head’s of engineering programs across the United States.

Though this is the School of Engineering, Computing and Construction Management’s first appearance on the “Best in Undergraduate Engineering” list, Potter has ambitious goals for the program’s future rankings.

“Our goal is to break into the Top 25 and stay there,” he said in a message to the University Administration.

The rankings highlight an exciting start to the semester for the School of Engineering, Computing and Construction Management – the Construction Management program successfully passed the reaccreditation process to retain the ACCE (American Council of Construction Education) Accreditation.
